The AWTE conference is for theatre teachers, directors, technical directors, college students, university professors, performing arts center (PAC) managers and theatre education advocates. Conference registration includes annual membership in AWTE. Individuals interested in access recordings of sessions from the August conference may join the AWTE.

Here is a letter from DPI, endorsing the value of fine arts professional development.

AWTE also sponsors professional development sessions at the Wisconsin High School Theatre Festival.


Professional dues give access to recordings of conference sessions, as well as webinars and a repository of resources throughout the year.

$45 - professional membership dues

$10 - university student membership dues

$10 - retiree membership dues
